Vinegar is great for your hair; it will make it shinier.
It will also take some of the red out of a sunburn.
Eggs will also make your hair shinier (just don't rinse it out with really hot water or else they'll scramble in your hair and you'll feel really dumb)
Splashing your face with/ending your shower with a burst of cold water works to close off your pores.
Plain old honey is great for your skin (use it while your in the shower to avoid a mess; if you put it on your face for a couple of minutes while you shave your legs or wash yourself and it'll make your skin softer.)
The lemon juice in the sun lightening your hair one works as long as your hair isn't really dark brown/black to begin with.
Swishing with hydrogen peroxide and/or brushing with a bit of baking soda will whiten your teeth (although neither taste particularly great.)Some hair/makeup tips, tricks, remedies?
Egg whites are great when used as a mask they make your pores look smaller. Mayo in the hair is a great thing, especially if you put a plastic bag over your hair and let it sit. The heat opens up the pores in your hair and soaks up the moister. You can also just use regular deep conditioner and a bag too. Do not wash your face with cold water. Wash it with warm to open up the pores and clean them, rinse off the face wash with warm water. After all that you can close your pores with cold water.
Any beauty tip depends on you, your skin %26amp; hair. For example, you would not want to use olive oil or mayo in your hair or on your scalp if you have really oily hair. This will just make it worse. If you want to really rinse your hair of all build up, use vinegar. Wet hair, rinse with vinegar, rinse with water, shampoo %26amp; condition. Olive oil is good for dry skin. Just dab a little where needed. If you don't want a lot of freckles, moles, sun spots, wear sun block. Don't exfoliate your skin every day, just once a week if needed. When you exfoliate, you are basically removing dead skin cells. If you do it every day, you eventually run out of dead skin cells %26amp; start removing normal skin cells which causes your skin to be irritated %26amp; raw. The less you shave, the softer the hair is so less stubble. It鈥檚 better to wax. You can make mask for facials using things like yogurt, strawberries, avocados, etc. Make sure fresh fruit %26amp; veggies are clean %26amp; organic is better, not chemicals.
olive oil does condition the cuticle very well and temporarily repairs any damage, but it's also extremely dense and very hard to rinse out. i used it in a mask once, and even after 2 shampoos, my hair was oily and gross once it dried, so you have to use very little and only on the ends.
splashing your face with ice cold water will refresh you and it does shrink the pores slightly, but it never ever lasts more than 10 minutes tops for me. pore size is genetic and there is absolutely nothing you can do to change it. however, regular exfoliation does make them appear smaller.
another ';myth'; is that toothpaste gets rid of zits. past formulas contained zinc, which did help dry out pimples, but since most toothpastes don't have it anymore, they aren't as effective. if at all, the menthol might dry them out just slightly. you're better off just using a designated acne cream.
a good home-remedy or whatever that i use is an aspirin honey mask. i dissolve 4-5 uncoated aspirin tablets with a few drops of warm water, add in a dollop of honey, apply it all over my face and let it sit for 15-20. then i exfoliate with it while rinsing it off, and it always makes my skin ridiculously baby soft. the salicylic acid in the aspirin does improve any acne, and the honey counteracts any dryness, so it's a win-win.
sorry for the novel, ahhh
Olive oil in your hair is great! Seriously i have tried it. Just take a bit and rub it on the ends and over the scalp. Keep it there for about 2 hours or longer if your hair is really dry and then shampoo out really well. You might not even have to add conditioner, depending on the quality of your hair. You only need to do this once a week. It is the best! If you have curly or dry hair adding a little bit of the oil when its dry also helps to set and style.
the oil and mayo are myths created by our grandmothers..!
the oil doesn't work for ur hair it only work for the roots ..! plus u just put it for 2 hours if it is more than that then there is no point in the oil..
one important tip for ur face! ...never ..ever ..wash it with soap..use special products for cleaning ur face..
some ppl may say use honey on ur face..! but it may burn ur skin ...some ppl are allergic to things like that..
cold water is good cuz it will fresh your skin ..
i tried the hair-masks allot of time i didn't find it useful ..
before and after drying Ur hair use serum crystal..!
mm mm i guess that's all i have right now .. i hope it helps
Ok well don't put the oil in ur hair. Becuz most of the time ur hair is too oily ( and i know it's gross and mean and all girls hate em) and it will cause ZITS! And it's not healthy for your hair. I'm not sure about the mayo. That sounds weird. And cold water is a good thing. It helps with your pores. use face wash too. lol.
Rayne: Olive oil iS good for your hair (the root).
Jenni C: Toothpaste contains Sodium bicarbonate, peroxide, ad SLS...it does dry out pimples, in fact...the main issue that many people have with using toothpaste on pimples is that it can be OVERLY drying.
