Just moved to Central Florida and need some tips on how to maintain decent hair and makeup in this hot, humid weather. How can a girl look good when you break into a sweat just walking to your car?Need hair and makeup style tips for Florida summers?
Tell me about it. I live in central GA and I have the same problem. I straighten my hair on a daily basis, it is naturally wavey so you can imagine what the humidity does to it. I use CHI straightening ceramic spray, this is the one product I have found that actually seems to control the frizz and curl from moisture. My hair stays straight all day. Give it a try Im sure it will work for you too. If all else fails just wear your hair in that natural wind swept look.
Make up...I use bare Minerals. Its a powder foundation that works wonders. Not only does it cover really well, it makes your skin look amazing. It works well in humid and hot conditions beacuse its not a liquid that melts off your face. Its $60 for a starter kit that includes all your brushes, 2 foundations, a shine reducer, and a bronzer. I have had mine since Christmas and its nowhere near out. I will be able to use it for another 6 months. Its well worth the money.Need hair and makeup style tips for Florida summers?
hey. no worries i live in florida. for hair if your hair gets really frizzy and crazy in the humidity then just straighten it. or put it up more often. or get some of this...garnier fructis shine serum. it works AMAZING for frizz. you can get it at walmart for like 4-5 bucks! just if you do get it dont put too much in cuz then your hair will look greasy. and as for the makeup. if you can go without foundation DO IT cuz you will feel so much more better. foundation (liquid or powder) plus humidity and heat....so uncomfortable. but anyway is you must then try to find some that might be sweat and waterproof. thats i guess the best advice i can guve you, there isnt much you can do really. just try to stay indoors more. and try to avoid too much makeup. =)
First, use light brown eyeliner only below your eye.
Next, apply light orange eye shadow to your eyelid.
Then, apply light pink (barely any) eyeshadow under your eyebrow.
Also, smile and put light colored brush on your cheeks.
Mascara is your choice ( I would probably just put 2 coats ).
You can also get long-lasting makeup in most makeup sections of stores. I would use 'Covergirl'.
Hair- I would put to braids on the side of your hair and put it back in a ponytail. If you have bangs, put one braid on the top of your head and pull it back into a ponytail.
-braid ur damp hair before u go to bed so when u wake up and take it out, u'll have beachy waves. then spray w/ some hair products
-u dont want ur makeup to melt off, so be sure u have good skin...
.daily mosturizer! (dove daily moisturizer w/ SPF)
.put on a face mask (oatmeal, milk, honey or egg whites) once a week
.wash ur face 2x a day (clean%26amp;clear acne control face wash...many face washes use the same ingredients so u dont have to shell out a lot of cash for face wash)
.change ur pillow case regularly (dead skin cells get in it when u sleep)
.no matter how tired u are, always take off ur makeup before bed!
.check out magazines (like 17 and girls life) for tips! (i swear by them)
-u dont want ur makeup to melt off, so wear less... tinted moisturizer, pressed powder (not mineral foundation), tinted lip balm (so ur lips stay colored and not chapped....try burts bees in an apricot or peach color), and waterproof mascara
-tips: rinse ur face w/ cold water (or rub an ice cube on ur face) to close pores and feel refreshed, also rinse ur hair w/ cold water in the shower. and get a frizz serum (john frieda frizz serum)
