Makeup/hair tips, please?

Okay, so I am bored with my hair, and I'm at a loss about what to do for makeup. I know I'm not gorgeous or anything, but I'd like to look more presentable.

FACE SHAPE~

Get Out Your Tape Measure

While there are lots of suggestions on how to figure out your shape, from outlining your face on a mirror with lipstick to draping it with a towel and asking others to help you guess the shape, there is actually a scientific way to determine your face shape once and for all.

To find out the shape of your face measure it with a tape measure or ruler. You will take the following measurements.

1. Measure your face across the top of your cheekbones. Write down the measurement on a piece of paper.

2. Measure across your jaw line from the widest point to the widest point. Write down the measurement.

3. Measure across your forehead at the widest point. Generally the widest point will be somewhere about halfway between your eyebrows and your hairline. Write down the measurement.

4. Measure from the tip of your headline to the bottom of your chin.

If you are still not sure of the results, ask a friend that you trust to help you determine your shape. Or ask your stylist. Don't forget that everyone will have their own opinion. If you get mixed opinions ask several people until you see a trend.

Another way to find your shape is to study the faces of celebrities to compare your own look. Many celebrities are almost as famous for their face shape as their hair color, length and style.

Face Dimensions

Listed below are the most common shapes besides round. It is possible that your face may not fit exactly into any one category and may be a combination of shapes.

Most people will fit into one of the major categories which include:

Oval Face - Length equal to one and a half times width. An oval face may change according to weight gain or loss and age. It is common for people who have a classic oval face to have small features.

Round Face - If you have a round face your face will be as wide as it is long. This may vary a little where your face is not quite as wide as it is long, but within 1/4 to 1/2 inches.

Long/Rectangular - Longer than it is wide.

Heart - Narrow at jaw line, wide at forehead and cheekbones.

Square - If you have a square shape your forehead, jaw line and cheekbones are almost equal in width.

Triangular - Wider forehead that narrows gradually to a slightly pointed or rounded chin.

Diamond - Wide cheeks, narrow forehead and jaw line. May have a pointed chin.

Pear - Wide chin with a narrow forehead.

Experiment with a paper shape. Cut out a classic shape such as a heart, triangular or diamond and place it on your face to see if it conforms. Or take a copy of your face and draw different shapes with a black magic marker.

Eyeshadow for Brown Eyes: copper, bronze, champagne (soft pink with a touch of apricot), brown (for a doe-eyed look), beige, and khaki-green (lighter shades add highlight), tangerine, royal blue, hot pink, lime-green (the contrast adds punch to brown) navy or charcoal base to define and a powder-blue shadow for highlighting (it brightens your brow bone so any eye color pops%26amp;%26amp;silver-sparkle shadow makes all eyes look edgy.

Some lip gloss%26amp;%26amp;black mascara would be nice too. [:Makeup/hair tips, please?
Use light neutral tones on your eyelids to open them up. Light browns and bronzes always look great. Be careful with eyeliner, I would use brown, not black and apply a very thin line or none at all because too much liner will make your eyes look smaller. If you want you can line under your eye with a sparkly neutral tone shadow using a liner brush. You can also apply white eyeliner to the bottom inner rim of your eyes to make them look bigger and make the whites of your eyes look whiter. Wear a little blush, and lipgloss if you want. And be sure to curl your eyelashes and apply mascara, this will help open up your eyes, too.

I would say you have an oval face shape, which is great, it is the ideal shape to have. Really you can wear your hair anyway you want with this face shape, but if you're looking for a change I would suggest adding some face framing layers to your hair to accent your great face shape.
you are just so cute! your hair, not gonna lie, is a little boring. but that is alright!! go to the hair salon and get some side bangs, maybe even straight across bangs, and a few layers and it will look amazing!!

Makeup:

You look pretty young, so don't go over the top with makeup. I would put some mascara to make your eyes totally pop! Brands I would highly recommend are Maybelline, the infamous pink and green one, and L'Oreal Volumous which comes in a black and gold tube, which you can buy at any drugstore such as Rite Aid, CVS, etc.. And then just put a little bit of light pink lipgloss, Prestige is a good brand, which you can also find at drugstores..Maybe a little peach blush.. which you apply just to the apples of your cheeks (smile and apply to the parts that stick out) And you are good to go! You can always add a little eyeshadow to the lids for some fun as well.

Either way, you are beautiful!! If you go with my answer and do what I say, send me some pics I would love to see the turnout!

I'm incredibly sorry that I don't have anything constructive to add to the good advice of the answerers before me, but I just want to say that I think you're incredibly gorgeous and adorable. I'm really glad this question is open, I just had to tell you.
